Cultivating presence, aliveness and connection
A two-day immersive, residential experience on Waiheke Island
15 -17Ā May
Can you feel the gentle whisper that calls you back to your body, out of your head, and home to yourself?
What if you could flow through life without feeling scattered, distracted, or behind?
Ā
About the experience
Slow Unfolding is a small, in-person experience for those feeling called to soften, regulate, and inhabit their whole Self through nature, ceremony, self-inquiry, and embodied presence.
The intention is not to add more, to fix, or to strive.
It is to arrive more fully in yourself and to feel your aliveness.
Ā
Why this experience
It is an invitation to unsaturate, to honour your nervous system, and to allow what is already alive within you to emerge without force.
This gathering is held in relationship with the natural world and the elements.
Ā
How the experience unfolds
We connect. We listen. We tend.
Held across Friday afternoon to Sunday, this immersive experience invites you to step out of everyday life and into a slower, more reflective and embodied rhythm.
The work unfolds through shared time and food, guided practice, time in nature, ceremony, and simple rituals that support presence, integration, and connection to self and others.
Ā
Why this work, now
Many of us have reached this life phase after achieving a lot, but there is often a quiet hum that something is missing.Ā Life can feel full, demanding, and like we are always on, often tethered to devices and expectations, yet internally, there is often a sense of saturation, dullness, or disconnection.
This experience is for those who are tired of managing themselves, pushing through, comparing or seeking another solution, and are instead longing for a contained pause that restores clarity, vitality, and inner harmony.
What the experience includes
- Tea ceremony (Gonfu Cha) as a practice of presence and attunement
- Forest bathing (shinrin yoku) for sensing, visioning, and quiet inquiry
- Breath, yoga and body practices that support regulation and shift energy
- Parts (IFS) work to access Self energy with gentleness and clarity
- Campfire reflection and releaseĀ
- Night sky and star-gazing as a mirror for perspective and spaciousness (weather permitting)
